Trotz massiver Proteste gegen Lobau- und Stadtautobahn halten Michael Ludwig, Ulli Sima & Co an der Lobau-Autobahn fest. Deshalb gehen wir am 28.5., dem Parteitag der SPÖ Wien, zu Tausenden zum Parteitag auf die Straße und kippen dieses Projekt – für ein gutes Leben für alle!
Mit Lobau- und Stadtautobahn soll Wien an den LKW-Schwerverkehr angebunden werden, der riesige Mengen an Waren zu neuen Logistikzentren am Stadtrand sowie zum Flughafen Schwechat karrt. Das dient vor allem dem Interesse von Großkonzernen und Baukartellenfirmen wie Strabag und PORR. Statt als Genosse der Bosse Klimazerstörung einzubetonieren, sollte Ludwig nach dem historischen Versprechen der SPÖ für soziale Infrastruktur sorgen. Wir fordern eine Politik, die uns Menschen in den Mittelpunkt stellt:

Der Protest gegen das derzeit größte fossile Megaprojekt Österreichs ist nicht aufzuhalten. Mit #LobauBleibt hat sich in den letzten Monaten eine der erfolgreichsten Bewegungen seit Jahrzehnten formiert. Globale Krisen, von Klimaerhitzung bis zu Kriegen und Flucht, spitzen sich immer weiter zu. Um sie zu stoppen, müssen wir hier anfangen und Österreichs fossiles Megaprojekt #1 jetzt kippen. Setzen wir am 28. Mai einen Schritt Richtung weltweite Klimagerechtigkeit und sorgen wir gemeinsam dafür, dass #LobauBleibt!

#LobauBleibt to the SPÖ party conference! Stop fossil megaprojects!
Despite massive protests against the ‘Lobauautobahn’ and ‘Stadtautobahn’ (the ‘Lobau Highway’ and its connection, the ‘City Highway’), Michael Ludwig, Ulli Sima & Co are unwilling to let go of the highway megaproject. Therefore, on 28.5., the party congress of the SPÖ Vienna, we go in the thousands on the street and overturn this project – for a good life for all!
The Lobau and Stadtautobahn highways are intended to connect Vienna to the heavy freight traffic that carries huge quantities of goods to new logistics centres on the outskirts of the city as well as to Vienna Airport. This primarily serves the interests of large corporations and construction cartels such as Strabag and PORR. Instead of “cementing” in climate destruction, Ludwig should provide for social infrastructure according to the historic promise of the SPÖ. We demand a policy that puts us humans at the center:
Expansion of public transport for all instead of highways for a few! Salary increases for nursing staff and educators instead of profits for STRABAG & Co! Space for all instead of concrete deserts for transit traffic!
The protest against what is currently Austria’s largest fossil megaproject is unstoppable. With #LobauBleibt, one of the most successful movements in decades has formed in recent months. Global crises, from climate heating to wars and flight, are coming to a head. To stop them, we must start here and overturn Austria’s fossil fuel megaproject #1 now.
